Housing instability creates a loss of geographic anchor, making medication adherence, dietary care, and transportation for critical procedures harder to sustain. Shelter is not enough. Housing must function as healthcare infrastructure.
Members enter with Universal Basic Income support.
A portion of UBI is diverted into co-op shares.
Members transition from lease-to-own into signature homes.
Members can sell units back to the co-op, keeping the cycle open.
A foundational letter of support from a legacy institution can become the financial currency that unlocks larger banking relationships and secondary local investment.
